Built in a number of stages, the main components of the Forced Fed kit include a Garrett Turbo, a Stainless Tubular Manifold and a 3 Inch exhaust system. The first stage, running at $7800, offers 85 more horsepower thanks to 7psi boost from a Garrett GT28R turbocharger. There are no internal changes to the engine and the VVTL-i still kicks in about 6200 rpm.
In Stage II, or Race 380 tune, ForcedFed use their 'Long Block' stroker crank, Crower rods, custom pistons, and a larger Garrett GT28/71 Turbo. The first dark blue Elise to get this treatment was subject to Car and Driver's Superfour challenge. The car placed 3rd, but only after some impressive times were laid down: 0-60 in 4.1 seconds and the quarter mile in 12.2.
With the Race 380, ForcedFed also recommend their Ohlins double-adjustable coil-over shocks, SSR 17x7.5-inch forged-aluminum wheels and an Alcon 4-Pison front brake upgrade.
